2007-07-09 - 6:02 p.m. I was in the mood for both a nice girl-power flick and a weeper yesterday, and this movie fit the bill perfectly. I was a-blubberin', but with self-esteem, within minutes. Then I read up a little today on the author of the book it was based on, and learned some interesting things about Fannie Flagg. In addition to being my favorite Match Game contestant ever (second favorite would be Marcia Wallace), she's also dyslexic, a lesbian, and used to date Rita Mae Brown.
