2007-08-24 - 10:30 a.m. Went to see Mr. McGregor at Hank's last night, where they quietly rocked the house. Despite their own self-descriptors, it's too easy to call them "country-punk" because the country thing is a very thin veneer sploshed over an eclectic, tangled skein of influences and sounds. They're kinda like Television with much simpler guitar parts (oh wait, I guess that's the Velvet Underground), or Mission of Burma minus the angst, and all three of the McGregors project an air of "nice."
