Feeling nostalgic for anthrax news stories? Me, too. Here's a compelling one.

This fun book about discovering your inner economist is deceptively packaged as self-help, but is really just an amusing series of essays about fundamental economic principles and how they can be applied to real-life situations, (but usually aren't.) It's no Freakonomics, but one gets the sense that the author, whose tone strikes a nice balance between professorial and Confucian, didn't intend it to be.

Reminder for NYC folks:

We've got a show on Saturday at Arlene's Grocery, and I know I am really looking forward to it:

7:00 The Actual Facts
8:00 Paula Carino and the Radiant Flux (Ross, Andy Tom)
9:00 The Larch

I know that the Larchies are doing some new material, and we're also debuting one new song--but don't be scared! A new song is just a favorite song that you haven't heard yet.
