2008-10-17 - 10:46 a.m. Yeah, he looks cute, but read on. The bad news about the new Lucinda Williams album is that there are too many damn ballads. The good news is that the three(!) uptempo songs rock convincingly. Check out the awesome "Real Love" on her MySpace page. A live performance of the song is YouTubed right there on her site, and the alternate version of "Real Love" on the album is also cute in a kind of zydeco format. But the new Crooked Fingers album is all good! This may bubble under at the low end of my favorites-of-2008 list. I have to give it some more time. thoughts?
