As an inhabitant of a neighborhood where the only place to get a latte is at Rocky's Pizzaria, I was nervous about the new Dunkin Donuts cappucinos/lattes, but amazingly they've pulled it off, and we have rejoiced. Especially amazing because on the first day when they were introduced, none of the staff at our branch knew what espresso was (seriously). They're relatively cheap too! The caramel latte is especially yummy. Not as good as Starbucks, but for $2.69 for a giant size, I'm not complaining.

D-Donuts is an oasis in my neighborhood, too, for so many things. It's one of the few food joints open early for breakfast and late after dinner; the only place to get decent ice cream and coffee; the only place where the counter staff is trained to say hello and make rudimentary conversation.

I second the caramel latte plug--it's even better, somehow, than the mocha!
