I once thought of putting out some kind of blurb to 're-find' someone. I never did. If I could only see this person one more time. Does anybody know someone named Donna who worked at Pershing & Co. in the late seventies? Last name upon request. Paula's blog has now turned into the 'missed connections' page! Sorry P.

Andy: Forgive the obvious question, but have you tried Googling her? And, also, why not try the CL/MC board? It's worth a shot.

I've been the Google route. What's the CL/MC board?

Craig's List "missed connections"...as discussed in blog.

This board may work for me. Years ago, when I was in a band, I would always start the songwriting process by going to the personals on the back page of the Village Voice and looking for good phrases to build upon. I believe 75% of my songs started that way. These days, however, the Voice personals are pretty much worthless for that sort of thing - all ads and no cryptic personal comments. Maybe Craig's List will fill the gap. (Possible problem: CL doesn't seem to have a word limit, which is too bad, because that restriction tends to create poetry.)

Well, CL/MC is certainly a reflection of our times.

Dan, "Mr Insensitive"--is that an ad-inspired song?

Absolutely. Someone signed a Voice personal ad that way in 1991. The rest I made up.
