did they look like the arbussy twins form "the shining" nothing gives me the creeps as much as pairs of little girls. I'm sure if you looked closer you would have found the sign of the beast burned into that dogs fur, oh wait, a dog is a beast, I'm confused.

Not exactly, but I notice in the TV ad for Godsend, there's a pair of plaid-skirted creepy twin girls.

I don't know, I've been reading about Girard's mimetic desire, but there has to be a first cause, where does the "other's" desire arise from, I think desire sometimes seems like a small thing, but at those times there doesn't appear to be anything else. I didn't get as far as the "monstrous doubles" or mimetic violence, yet, but ever since I went to the "godsend" website, the music has kept playing over my computer, kind of spooky, but nice.
