Ah, Celebrate Brooklyn is great--they really do try to mix it up and reflect Brooklyn back to itself.

To successfully engage in C.Bklyn, you really have to be in the mood to get there early, hang out for a long time with a huge group of people, and not drink too many liquids lest you have to stand in line to use the rather skeevy public restrooms.

For me, once per season is just about right. And this year, it'll probably be for the Neil Young trib...

I am eager to see Jane Siberry and Rufus W. and Cat Power, for sure. THey should have asked Juliana Hatfield to perform her lovely cover of "ONly Love Can Break Your Heart."

I saw Jane Siberry with Loren way way way back at the Bottom Line. Geez, I guess by now it's been about 75 or 80 years ago!
