If you are even in London, I highly recommend a trip to the Freud Museum. It's in the house where he lived the last few years of his life, after fleeing the Nazis. He recreated his Vienna study there, including the original, and very comfy looking, couch: http://www.freud.org.uk/ground.htm. (The Vienna office, also open to the public, contains replicas of the original furniture.) It's a surprisingly moving, low-key attraction, in leafy Hampstead.

I have a MouseRug of the rug that's on his couch. You can see, it's the same one in the picture in the Freud Museum link above. http://shop.store.yahoo.com/mouserug/freudmuseum.html

I have the bone china coffee mug with Oedipus and the Sphinx, from his custom-designed bookplates! It's the one on the left: http://www.freud.org.uk/shopmugs.htm. It's my favorite cup. Buying the merch is almost as good as a session with the Man himself!

Yes, but do you have one of these? http://www.mcphee.com/bigindex/current/10884.html Or, if you need a bit more interaction: http://www.mcphee.com/bigindex/current/11177.html Also, Freud used to live near the IDs! It's true...somewhere near their house, there's a street sign designating the roadway...perhaps Janet could provide a photo.
