es, what is light w/o that all-important contrasting darkness? I was thinking it'd be really cool if snow had always been black, instead of white. Especially if, when it got dirty and slushy, it turned more and more white.

Cool, I hope Tim Burton makes the movie of this idea.

I was kind of impressed that Trick Daddy went with the un-novel, except maybe in rap, concept of having a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer backing him and his rappers on Jimmy Kimmel last night. And even though on his record he credits Ozzy, just for sampling "Iii Iii Iii", he had two of his rappers trying to sing that part live (which didn't work as well as the live band, but I gotta give him credit for playing live live, and actually crediting a sample on record). Novel indeed... and the sum sounded good. (Seems like the first performer Miami can be proud of in a lonnng time.) (Also seems like in some circles, Miami and St. Louis qualify as part of the South.) And while I'm playing the hickster, let me say that one should never skip heroin and go straight to methadone, cuz I learned when helping a friend - who had done so - quit, that methadone withdrawal is harder, given that it has twice the half-life that heroin does in the body.

P.S. I love telling the kids at the skatepark that Ludicrous is a hick... and proud of it. And when they bridle, I explain to them that the opposite of a hick is a sophisticate, and someone shooting for a sophisticate vibe doesn't name his album Chicken and Beer. But somehow they never say "Hey, you're right". If I had much money, though, Paula, I'd definitely own Missy, and Ludicrous, and Trick Daddy albums. But hey, to back up my hickster credentials, I have a temporary restraining order on me for plotting to murder the local supervisor of skateparks. (Don't worry, though; it's an insane SLAPP.)

Bob: Thanks for the Trick Daddy info, now I'm curious. And I've never consciously heard a Missy Elliott record (I assume that's who you're talking about), but fromm what i've read about her and witnessed from a distance, she seems cool.

the deeper you go, the higher you fly, the higher you fly, the deeper you go, so come on, come on. Everybody's got something to hide 'cept for me and my monkey.

Uh, how exactly would Miami not be part of the South? Ain't a whole lot more south of it in the US...

So does that make Boca Raton part of the South? Miami's less Southern than Virginia... and yet Trick Daddy's as Southern as Missy. And gosh, Paula, you didn't know Missy's the best around?
