Speaking of TV detectives, tonight marks the premiere (on NBC) of Andy Barker, P.I. a slap-sticky but humorous new sitcom-cum-mystery that manages to be both a homage and a parody of the whole genre. It's exec-produced by Conan O'Brien (who, lest you forget, was head writer on The Simpsons in its heyday) and features a reliably funny cast, including Andy Richter in the title role, Tony Hale (of Arrested Development as his sidekick, and Harve Presnell as his mentor.
