I have to admit, the Wachowskis' slavishly accurate re-creation of the early 60's anime style will probably prompt me to sit down and take a look at Speed Racer at some point -- but most likely on video, when I can fast-forward through the awful parts (which is to say, most of it, apparently). For those looking for a good movie to see in the theaters (assuming you haven't seen Iron Man yet), might I suggest Son of Rambow?

Read the Times article. DT's Stumble On In cannot have been the real name of a bar in Bloomingdale, can it? "Blooming Nails" is about as double entendre as it gets there... and isn't the lyric "she had a husband in the US Army"

I second that emotion! So thrilled for you and bro Bob -- very well-deserved attention from "The Gray Lady." (What, am I my parents with these goofy, dated references?!) Re: Sam Phillips, you know I am excited and also very curious re the production, as that is a big change after so many albums with T-Bone.
