2003-11-28 - 2:31 p.m. Well, it's "Black Friday" and I'm happily not in a store shopping, cuz I officially quit Consumer-mas. This year I intend to enjoy all the good stuff about the Holiday season without the empty calories. No shoppin', no gifts, no cards, no stress, no "is that all there is?", just peace, quiet, friends, family, and whatever spontaneous form of observance transpires. For instance, I just ordered supplies for my annual batch of homemade New Year's lip balm. The sacred act of lip-balm-making still holds deep meaning for me. thoughts?
