I keep tryin' to tell people. Chicago rocks. I used to run down there every chance I got when I was in school in the Mad City. And CTA is quality. So they're a little bit rock-'n'-roll challenged, so what? Shame about the weather, though.

I have not yet experienced a Chicaggy winter--I'm not sure I would survive. On the other hand, they seem equipped for it, which makes a difference.

The only way they could be sufficiently equipped for me is if the city provided little heated pods for me to travel from the house to the train in the worst part of winter; or if they had city-provided helper monkeys to shovel my car out of the snow.

And even when it comes to rock-'n'-roll, while Chicago hasn't produced much that's caught my (admittedly limited) attention in the last decade and a half, (except for some of "Retreat from Memphis", and, not-so-rockingly, "To the Land of Milk and Honey"), there was Naked Raygun and Big Black... and New York seems to have been a bit challenged itself since then.
