The Coug actually did three super albums in a row - Scarecrow, The Lonesome Jubilee, and Big Daddy. He seemed to become completely aware of the shallowness of his earlier persona, even called himself on ripping off the Boss and the Stones, and made some heartfelt original music.

Then he divorced his wife, married a supermodel, and went back inside Plato's Cave for good.

In his defense, he'd been married to his first wife since he was like 19, and it was a shotgun marriage. I don't get the feeling it was simply shallow rock star behavior on his part, and I'm sure he's been supportive. I'm just sayin' I'd rather dislike him for his wretched music and hamster-y face.

Uh-uh. Gotta go with Miles. 'Specially 'The Lonesome Jubilee', it's brilliant from start to finish. And, if nothing else, it launched Lisa Germano's career.

Yeah, I like that he enabled Lisa Germano to make albums.
