So how's that Bruce working out? Hard to even imagine his voice on those songs, but maybe I was born to run.

His voice is reeeeeally raw on all these songs. "Froggy went a-Courtin'" has to be heard to be believed. Honestly, I love Bruce and this was a nice idea, but this CD will probably not be in heavy rotation at IHoP HQ.

Is his voice on "Froggy" froggier than Dylan's was on his? I would find that hard to believe!

Now you've done it. You made me use my real name. First - the way Bruce starts off with Old Dan Tucker is like an old timey bluegrass party, very warm and inviting. A child was in the room when I played it and he wasn't scared at all. B - The Froggy song is a stupid song no matter who sings it, including ole Petey S. hisself. I thought Bruce actually classed up the tune a bit. There, I said it.

Eli:

Yes, but if it's the child I think it is, he has extraordinary punk-rock musical genes from his aunt and Springsteen-tolerance from both sides of his family , so he could easily tough it out. The average kid would be a-screamin' for his Klonopin.

I think rather they'd be a-reachin' for their Dobro.

Well, that's a nice image. One wants the youth of America to embrace the Boss as early as possible.
