Also, is "The Education of Hopey Glass" new material, or reprinted stuff from old issues of Love & Rockets ('cause if it's new, I needs to gets it...)?

A modest amount of research (namely, actually reading the text found in the link you provided) reveals that this graphic novel is indeed pulled from the pages of Love & Rockets (still not sure if it's from issues I have or not' or even where the issues I have exactly are, for that matter...).

Back in the last century, I wrote (overwrote?) this here piece on the Hernandezes: http://www.houseofhere.com/bros.html. The quotes at any rate are good.

If any of you want some new Los Bros. material, there's a book that came out this year called LOVE AND ROCKETS (with Penny Century in superheroine gear on the cover) that's really good. It's kind of a return to MECHANICS-style superhero subject matter, with a light touch and a decidedly more mature (not necessarily better, but different) sensibility.

I didn't know you read comics, Dan.

Isn't the new Hopey book amazing? She was such a formative influence on my life (more than it is probably appropriate for a comic book character to have) -- very inspiring to see how she's dealing with the ghosts of the past.
